Training Cycle 2

The second training cycle deepened the educational dimension of the project by focusing on human rights, democratic citizenship, and the role of theater in promoting social awareness. Throughout the two-day in-person session, participants explored the Council of Europe’s Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education, examining its core principles and discussing how these values can be reflected in artistic work. The training introduced both theoretical concepts and practical tools, ensuring the youth understood not only the meaning of human rights but also how to communicate these messages in ways that resonate with diverse audiences. A significant emphasis was placed on the topic of antigypsyism, addressing its historical roots, forms of discrimination, and its ongoing impact on Roma communities. Through discussions, case examples, and group reflection, the participants developed a more nuanced understanding of social exclusion and prejudice. They then practiced translating these insights into creative expression by experimenting with scenes, dialogues, and symbolic artistic elements that convey themes of equality and justice. This training cycle empowered the young participants to use theater as a platform for advocacy, enabling them to approach sensitive topics responsibly and with confidence, while strengthening their ability to engage audiences in meaningful conversation.
