CALL FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICE ON DEVELOPING A TAILORED CURRICULUM ON ADULT EDUCATION

Established in 2011, The Institute for Romani Culture in Albania – IRCA is Roma NGO that stands for a multi-ethnic and inclusive society that is founded on universal principles of human rights and equality. The mission of the organization is to enable equal and sustainable development of Roma communities through advocacy, mobilization, empowerment, cooperation, policy-oriented research, action and participatory research as well as equal participation in democratic processes, equal access into the rights and services and the promotion of the Roma Culture and Identity.

 Purpose of the service:

In the framework of the project “The goal is us – Roma Women empowered”, funded by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tirana, the Institute of Roma Culture in Albania- IRCA is seeking to contract 2 (two) local experts that display the capacities and experience to develop a tailored curriculum on adult education. The curriculum on adult education will be the main instrument for the implementation of one of the main activities of the project which is: “mobility teaching sessions and library roll-out for women and girls from disadvantaged groups”.  The expert should consider the needs of the target group during drafting the curriculum. It should contain innovative learning methods, combining theoretical and practical practices.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Desk review of existing reports and respective documents.
• Develop a tailored curriculum on adult education.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education

• University degree combined with specialized training in the field of social sciences

Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience in consultancy services.
• Very good knowledge about gender and Roma issues.
• Previous experience in developing curriculums on adult education.

Technical skills

• Excellent analytical and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team.

Duration:

The expert will be engaged 5 working days during June 2021.
