On April 8, the International Roma People Day, the Institute of Romani Culture in Albania with the support of the US Embassy in Tirana, and the cooperation of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Youth and the Central Election Commission, organized a conference titled “Improving Democracy with participation of Roma citizens “. More than 90 young Roma and non-Roma people, representatives from civil society and the media participated in this activity. The focus was on the importance of youth participation in decision-making and public life as well as their professional qualification.
