“For the Roma, With the Roma” – On date 07/12/2023, the Institute of Romani Culture in Albania (IRCA) in collaboration with the Complaints and Sanctions Commission (CSC) conducted an open forum on the project regarding the information and education of the Roma Community for the local elections held on May 14, 2023. Participating in this meeting was the State Commissioner of Elections, Mr. Ilirjan CELIBASHI.
The discussion comes after the findings and conclusions drawn by the IRCA organizations, with which the CEC of Albania held more than 40 meetings nationwide. Thanks to this project, IRCA representatives emphasized the increased participation of the Roma and Egyptian minority in the elections on May 14, 2023.
The project with the motto “For the Roma, With the Roma” was implemented with the support of British Embassy in Albania.
The Central Elections Commission will intensify meetings and discussions with this national minority to continue educating voters for the 2025 elections.
