Institute of Romani Culture in Albania has implemented in the period June 2019 – August 2020 the program: “Coaching for Employment ” (C4E) which aims to develop skills and facilitate the labor market for returned migrants, young unemployed jobseekers, persons from the Roma and Egyptian community in Albania. The program supports local reintegration and employment opportunities through the involvement of the private sector in methodologies and creative action of personal and professional skills.
The C4E program is a program based on the philosophy of Employment Training and the transition from school to work, an approach funded by SDC and the Medicor Foundation and implemented by Swisscontact since 2010 in Albania and Kosovo. The strategy for this initiative consists of several interventions that explain how results and changes will be produced for returned migrants and other groups seeking employment opportunities in urban and rural areas.
About 153 people have been part of the program. This program has been implemented in the following areas:
- Tiranë
- Berat
- Fier
- Lushnjë
- Shkodër
- Lezhë
At the end of the program:
- 11 people have completed the professional course for professions such as plumber, electrician, hairdressing-aesthetics.
- 117 participants are self-employed relying on materials necessary for practicing their profession or expanding their business.
- 25 participants are employed in different businesses.
